Carnival of the Animals
This fun and fast-paced zoological program celebrates the worlds of dance, music, and literature. Camille Saint-Saëns' suite,
The Carnival of the Animals, comes to life with the humorous verses of Ogden Nash and The Georgia Ballet dancers that accompany each movement. Every student will have the opportunity to take part in this interactive and delightful performance.
Program format: Interactive performance
Grades: pre-K- 2nd grade

The Georgia Ballet Presents: Dance 101
Learn about a variety of theatrical dance forms in this fast-paced and engaging program. From classical ballet to jazz, modern, folk dancing, and more, The Georgia Ballet will keep you moving! Students will watch performances of various dance styles and then learn some dances themselves, enhancing their self-expression and relationship to music in this informative program.

The Evolution of a Dancer
Our dancers will immerse your students in the world
of dance and particularly classical ballet as they
invite them to learn what it takes to become a
professional ballet dancer. Students will experience
an amazingly athletic art form in action from the
classroom to the stage. The demonstration will begin
with pre-professional ballet students as well as
professional artists participating in an actual
ballet class, and then the dancers will continue the
visual evolution to perform both classical and
current works.
Program format: Assembly
Program Costs: $350
Audience Limits: 300
Duration: 45 minutesRequirements: We ask that you prepare a 25x40 foot
area for our dancers. Please have a sound system
that is equipped to play CD’s for our use, and allow
dancers the use of a bathroom or changing area.

Dance Through
the Ages
Students will follow a visual
history of the stunning and athletic art of ballet
from its origins in the courts of France and
Italy, through the Romantic and Classical periods
that defined the well-known story ballets such as
Giselle,
Swan Lake
and The Nutcracker, and on to the contemporary ballets of today that
fuse traditional vocabulary with thoroughly modern
movement and music.
Following the performance, students will have
the opportunity to ask questions in a stimulating
and engaging discussion about the world of dance.
Program format: Assembly
Grades: pre-K – 12th grade
Program Costs: $1,000 or two back-to-back $1,300
Audience Limits: 300
Duration: 45 minutes
Requirements: clean performing area of at least 1000-1200 square feet, sound system, a changing area for the dancers
