Momentum

Momentum, The Georgia Ballet’s outreach program, gives underprivileged children the opportunity to learn the basics of dance training. In this special residency program involving partnerships with Title I schools, students take weekly classes that focus on musicality, rhythm, quality of movement, and basic dance terminology. In addition, the Momentum Program provides an opportunity to gain hands-on knowledge about this art-form, an opportunity some might not have otherwise, and culminates with a performance experience for the children. All programs meet Georgia Quality Core Curriculum Standards, and study guides are provided to enhance the experience of each program.
